Game Designer (Balance & Economy)

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Game Designer specializing in Balance & Economy to design, tune, and optimize the core systems that drive player progression, engagement, and monetization. You will be responsible for creating balanced and sustainable in-game economies that enhance the player experience while supporting the game’s business goals.

What you will be doing:

- Design, simulate, and balance game economies, including currencies, rewards, sinks, progression systems, and monetization mechanics.

- Create and maintain detailed balancing models and simulations to predict player behavior and economic outcomes.

- Collaborate with systems designers, live-ops managers, and data analysts to monitor the health of the game economy and identify tuning opportunities.

- Implement and tune game variables using internal tools and scripting systems.

- Plan and execute A/B tests to validate design hypotheses and optimize player satisfaction and retention.

- Develop and maintain design documentation for economy systems, ensuring clarity and alignment across the team.

- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in game balancing and economy design, especially in free-to-play and live-service games.

What we expect from the candidate:

- 3+ years of experience as a Game Designer, with a focus on balance, economy, or systems design in mobile or free-to-play games.

- Strong proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets or other modeling tools; experience with scripting (Python, Lua, etc.) is a plus.

- Deep understanding of game balancing methodologies, player motivation, and monetization strategies.

- Experience working with data analytics to drive tuning decisions and measure system performance.

- Ability to think systematically and create scalable, sustainable economic models.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

- A passion for games and a player-first approach to design.
